MINI SPLITS
Named for their split design, a ductless mini split system is a comfort solution used for countless HVAC installations the world over. Consisting of an outdoor unit and one or more indoor units, mini splits can be utilized as a standalone system, supplemental system, or for dedicated rooms. Their ductless design provides flexible and compact installations making them ideal for almost any application.
SINGLE-ZONE MINI SPLIT
A single-zone mini split system consists of a single outdoor and indoor unit. It’s designed to control the temperature of an individual room.
MULTI-ZONE MINI SPLIT
Multi-zone mini split systems are composed of two to four indoor units for one condenser. Despite being connected to one another, each unit in a multi-zone system can function independently and be set to a different temperature.
WALL-MOUNTED
MINI SPLIT
Wall-mounted mini split systems are installed near the top of a wall. They’re the most popular mini split option due to being the least expensive choice. At DM Solutions we install Fujitsu.
FLOOR-MOUNTED MINI SPLIT
Floor-mounted mini splits are essentially the same as wall-mounted mini splits, except they’re installed near the bottom of a wall instead of towards the top. They’re ideal options for homeowners who want to mount their mini split systems on the wall but who have windows that are too high or ceilings that are too low or slanted for a wall-mounted split.
Why Mini Splits?
Energy Efficiency = Savings. By combining several energy-saving technologies, mini splits are one of the most energy-efficient ways to keep your home comfortable all year round. Inverter-driven condensers cut down on waste by delivering precise amounts of heating or cooling required to keep your space comfortable thus minimizing energy costs.
Mini Splits Have a 15-20 Year Lifespan
When adequately maintained, it’s estimated that most mini split ductless air conditioners last for about 20 years. This is far beyond the 12 to 15 years that most conventional systems last, so it’s fairly safe to assume that your mini split system will last longer than most other options. Your mini split system should be serviced annually. As with any appliance in your home, your system can only reach peak performance when cared for and repaired as needed.
